Ozone generator is a device used to produce ozone. Ozone is easy to be decomposed and cannot be stored. It needs to be made and used on site.

Ozone is a very powerful disinfectant. Its ORP is greater than that of chlorine. The ORP for ozone is nearly twice that for hypochlorite. Ozone is will also destroy a significant number of organics as TOC.
Although ozone can be generated in a number of different fashions, the most economical method is by dielectric barrier discharge by ozone generator. This method involves the passing of a high-voltage, alternating current (6 to 20kV) through either air or pure oxygen:
